Today is Wednesday, March 19, 2008 Bandit the Siamese Cat

Today instead of Cook with Elly, Elly said that I could write a bit.

What a horrible night. I tried to sleep but Elly and Dave kept moving about too
much AND all night. If it wasn't them, it was my bratty brother, Scamp coming in
and walking over everyone. AND it was COLD.

I wanted to sleep on that nice
fleece blanket on the bed crowded into everyone so that I could keep warm.
Not Scamp though, he marches in and across everyone and wakes everyone
up. He's lonely, I guess with no one up. He wants me to play with him or Dave
to scratch him under his chin. ALL I know is he's a brat waking me up EVERY
night.

Finally I'd had ENOUGH!. I got up and went out to the room with all the windows
and waited for the big yellow thing that is up above us almost every day. Elly
calls it a sun and it's up in the sky. It keeps me warm. I hate it when it's not
there. I curled up in my round basket and waited. And waited, and waited.
Finally, I see it waking up. It moves slowly over the things that are in its way (I
think Elly says those are mountains) and FINALLY it's up enough. Dave's always talking about how nice it is to see the sun come up everyday, instead of rain.

We've moved down here recently and they won't let us go out. We, Scamp and
I sat at the door when we first got here and waited for it to open. Such smells
coming in. I wonder what that place is. One day the door was open, so we
went outside. Scamp left me all by myself and was gone playing. Me, I was
sooo scared I hid under the house until I heard Elly and Dave calling me. Boy
was I glad that they did. NEVER WANT OUT AGAIN. Too big, waaaaay too big
out there. Elly says there are a lot of coyotes out there and that is why she
doesn't want us to go out. Fine with me, whatever coyotes are. I can sit on the
windowsill and look out. Lots of bugs come on the screen, birds fly all over and
occassionally I see a critter. Scamp still looks for the door to be open, but I
noticed that he doesn't do it as much as he used too.
Aaaah, it feels soooo good to be warm and nobody bothering me. Think I'll
take a wee nap. They call them siestas down here. Oops talked too soon.
Here's Scamp poking me. I guess he wants to play. I'm going to get him for
waking me up. Jumped on him and he ran off. Up and over the bed across
Dave & Elly. Hey, it's time they were up anyway. Hmm that pillow looks pretty
soft and Elly's not using it. I think I'll lay down on it for awhile. I was RIGHT. It is
soft and I'm getting a scratch too. Think I'll purr.
Elly's out in the kitchen. I wonder what good things she has for us to eat this
morning. Heck, no treats. She's just filling the food bowl with...now wait a
minute....NEW FOOD!!!! Ooooh, smells sooo good. Next she's getting the dogs
water bowl to fill it up. She's dumping out my tea. That's just not fair.
I went to a lot of trouble getting those tea bags and putting them in the dog's
water bowl. He doesn't need it. He's outside most of the day. I wanted a nice
cuppa tea. hehehehehe. She's wondering how I found those tea bags. Let you
in on a little secret. The bottom drawer doesn't have it's drawer in there, so I
scoot into there, nobody sees me, hehehehehe. Lots of stuff to investigate
there and it's nice and dark.
There's a big box that's sooo interesting to dig around in and it has so many
delicious smells in it. Elly puts stuff in there all during the day. Some of it's ugh
awful, but some mmmmmm smells so good. She put the tea bags in there
yesterday, hehehehehe and I thought they'd be good to play with They come in
nice little packages with strings on them. So I played with them awhile. She
didn't see me...then in the dog's water bowl they go. Watched them sink to the
bottom of that huge big bowl and I couldn't get them out. Owwwww. Oh well,
off to do something else.
There's my red string on the floor. Nah, don't want that. Let's see what Dave's
doing. He wants to BRUSH me. AAAH NO, don't like that. I'm escaping...down
the hall and back into my chair. Heck they are all my chairs.
Dave's filling something with water....I so like that. That's the most interesting
stuff...it moves, it's wet, and it makes noises and it tastes good. I love watching
it. Everytime I hear those noises I gotta go see. It's endlessly fascinating. I can
be sound asleep and THAT NOISE wakes me up, instantly. In fact any noises
facinate me. Kitchen sounds, dishes rattling, refrigerator door opening, paper
rustling, someone brushing their teeth. I can be asleep but they sound so
interesting to me, that I gotta wake up and see what exactly is going on.
Hey Elly is cleaning the kitty tray. Can I help, can I can I. Shoot she won't let
me. I get into the box and play with the sand and she puts that silly shovel into
it and takes stuff out. Makes it all nice and clean and then I can play in it.
There's Scamp, my turn. I jump on him and away we go wrestling. Rolling over
and over on the floor. First he's on top and then me. It's so much fun. He's
bigger than me, but that's ok. I can hold my own. Dave got a new bicycle
(that's what he calls it) and he left the box out. Box had little holes in it. Boy
was that fun. I made it so I can go inside and poke my head out. Scamp sits
on top sometimes and we play through that hole. that's the neatest play toy
they ever got me. I love flipping the lid up and scampering inside. Nobody can
see me either until I put my paw or head up through the hole. It's also good to
scratch my claws on.
I got these big feet with an extra toe on each one. I guess that's true cause Elly
says it. She plays with my feet all the time. I can do such interesting things with
my feet. I can hang on to ledges that I'm sitting on, pick stuff up.
Must be time for lunch. Dave's turn today. He's making tuna sandwiches.
Ooooh that's my favorite. I'm going to help him make them and see if I can
sneak some. Elly yells at me for getting on the wooden counter where Dave is
working, but we ignore her. hehehehehe. She's not making lunch so I CAN BE
HERE. Dave lets me. He shares too....so nice. Great job, Dave.
He's pouring the water out of the can into 2 little bowls for Scamp and Me. If I
drink mine all up in a hurry, then I can get what Scamp has. He shares pretty
good. Whatever is his, is mine. Just like the dog. He gets such good stuff.
Well, I'm going to go curl up and take a nap. See you another day. tomorrow
it will be Cook with Elly day. Take care and watch for me again.
